COURSE OBJECTIVES:

Get acquainted with the proper procedures to design and create professional quality publications using the most popular software applications. This course will provide students whose career objectives are to start in the graphic design field with the following:

• Design and produce professional, quality documents that combine text, graphic, illustrations, and photographs using Microsoft Office Publisher.
• Powerful and clear working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop.
• Build up a large understanding of how Adobe Illustrator works by doing practical projects.
• Complete coverage of basic to intermediate QuarkXPress to create dynamic layouts.
• Master the key concepts and techniques of Adobe InDesign to create and prepare documents, brochures, and books for commercial printing.
• Competency to design, create and evaluate professional web sites using Dreamweaver.
• How to research for the desired job and perform a winning job interview.
